“In accordance with the Divine Teachings, the acquisition of sciences and the perfection of arts is considered as acts of worship. If a man engages with all his power in the acquisition of a science or in the perfection of an art, it is as if he has been worshipping God in the churches and temples…What bounty greater than this that science should be considered as an act of worship and art as service to the Kingdom of God.”
– ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, Bahá’í World Faith
Whoa dude! I LOVE how you take something people might not accociate w/ perfection – hair metal – and make it such. Wonderful interpretation, love the movement here! ROCK ON!
Wow….seriously….wow. This is amazing.
Who knew Zakk Wylde was also a spiritual subject?
Bobby, it’s brilliant. On so many levels. I am particularly struck by his expression of calm contemplation (his striving for perfection) in the midst of seeming chaos. It’s a beautiful analogy for our work in this world, for striving for perfection of one’s art “with all his power.”
